چکیده

Plant β-galactosidases (BGALs) are the important glycosidase that hydrolyses non-reductive terminaβ-D-galactosidase residues from glycochains, glycolipids and glycoproteins. In order to reveal regulation mechanism of in cotton development, whole genome analysis of  BGAL  gene family were carried out this study, which laid a foundation for further understanding function  genes pollen. A total 153  respectively identified  Gossypium hirsutum, G.barbadense, G.arboreum ,  G.raimondii . Phylogenetic tree showed the  divided into eight subgroups, with same number exons genetic structure subgroup. The co-evolutionary there multiple gene pairs between  G.hirsutum  and diploid cotton. transcriptomic data some genes in   were specifically expressed different tissues. For example,  GhBGAL6  and  GhBGAL32 , highly all tissues;  GhBGAL33 GhBGAL7 GhBGAL18 GhBGAL43  stamens (anther filament) petals. Further qRT-PCR results (such as  GhBGAL17 ) stamens, which may have certain regulatory effect on development stamens. This study explored evolution genomes cotton, can provide theoretical basis subsequent research on

Genome-wide association analysis

Genome-wide association (GWA) studies have become overwhelmingly popular in the last few years as a means to elucidate associations between particular alleles in one’s DNA and a predisposition to disease, using genetic data from unrelated individuals randomly sampled from a population (Balding, 2006; WTCCC, 2007). The recent availability of large amounts of such population genetic data necessit...

Statistical analysis for genome-wide association study

In the past few years, genome-wide association study (GWAS) has made great successes in identifying genetic susceptibility loci underlying many complex diseases and traits. The findings provide important genetic insights into understanding pathogenesis of diseases. In this paper, we present an overview of widely used approaches and strategies for analysis of GWAS, offered a general consideratio...

Replicability analysis for genome-wide association studies

The paramount importance of replicating associations is well recognized in the genomewide associaton (GWA) research community, yet methods for assessing replicability of associations are scarce. Published GWA studies often combine separately the results of primary studies and of the follow-up studies. Informally, reporting the two separate meta-analyses, that of the primary studies and follow-u...

Meta-analysis of genome-wide association studies.

Individual genome-wide association studies have only limited power to find novel loci underlying complex traits and common diseases. With relatively modest sample and effect sizes, a true association between genotype and phenotype may never meet genome-wide statistical significance (P < 5 x 10(-8)) in a single study. Through meta-analysis, novel susceptibility loci can be discovered by effectiv...

Genome-wide Association Study to Identify Genes and Biological Pathways Associated with Type Traits in Cattle using Pathway Analysis

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Type traits describing the skeletal characteristics of an animal are moderately to strongly genetically correlate with other economically important traits in cattle including fertility, longevity and carcass traits. The present study aimed to conduct a genome wide association studies (GWAS) based on gene-set enrichment analysis for identifying the ...
